Tragic scene after gamer drowns in unplayed titles

Date:

SACKVILLE – The community was in mourning today after local video game enthusiast Terry Pollack was found drowned in a deluge of unplayed titles.

According to police, Mr. Pollack met his demise after being rendered unable to breathe following the collapse of pile of highly-rated video games he had collected, in what many are describing as a foolish belief that he’d “eventually get around to” playing.

“It’s sad, but you could see it coming,” lamented coworker Tanya Collingsworth. “We’d all tell him ‘Just because IGN is praising it, it doesn’t mean you don’t have to play it’, but that’s just who he was”.

She continued “He’d insist he’d no longer grab the yearly sports games, or the IGN recommendations, he’d stick to the Triple-As, and you’d almost believe him. But, you knew it was only a matter of time before he was renewing his Playstation Plus membership”.

Pollack’s grieving mother, however, insisted her son had changed his ways and was being responsible. “He told me he was going to spend this weekend getting through his backlog of Wii titles,” she said. “He was so focussed, he didn’t see those PS4 cases coming!”.
