Daily Show fans upset that Jon Stewart has yet to end Gaza War

Date:

NEW YORK CITY – Several episodes into his return as a host of Comedy Central’s popular series “The Daily Show”, many fans of the program are expressing furstration that Jon Stewart has yet to bring an end to the violence currently plaguing the Middle East.

“It’s disheartening,” lamented copyright lawyer Alvin Collingswood. “Since the terrifying actions of October 7th, and then the horrific violence that followed, I had been finding myself feeling sad and hopeless. But, then I heard that HE was coming back, and I thought ‘okay, it will all be over, soon'”.

Street vendor Angela Qin agreed. “I turned 40, last year. I basically spent my twenties consuming a steady diet of Mr. Stewart’s thoughtful takes on the major issues of the day. Whenever I found myself confused and unsure about the goings-on in the world, I’d just remind myself to wait a few hours, and Jon will put it all into perspective'”.

“So, when I heard that he was returning,” she continued, “I thought okay, good, he’ll come on, give a brief explanation of the crisis, deftly demonstrate the hypocrisy and uselessness of this bloodshed, all parties would disarm, we’d all share a relieved chuckle and maybe, for Old Times’ sake, he’ll do his Bush impression”.

“Alas, there have been no Henh-Henh-Henh-Henhs. I was hoping for He Has Risen but, instead, we just got Hey guys, he’s here“.

Reflecting on his overall feelings about the comedian’s return, Collingswood articulated “It’s not so bad, it’s nice to see his face, again. But, I’m starting to think he’s not actually the Messiah, but just a nice, funny, guy who likes soccer and animals”.
