Palestinian rights activist vows not to rest until they have completely destroyed movement’s credibility

Date:

VANCOUVER – Despite being subjected to detainment and an investigation by the RCMP, Palestinian rights activist Allen Townes is vowing to continue his fight until support for his movement is obliterated.

“Support for the Palestinian cause has never been more pronounced than at this moment in history,” said Townes, “and I will not rest until I have undermined it to a point that all that support has evaporated”.

Mr. Townes detailed his struggle to annihilate the campaign for which he cares so deeply.

“Sometimes the effort to generate sympathy for the plight of the Palestinians while simultaneously going out of your way to destroy any such sympathy feels like an uphill battle,” he explained. “Some days are easier than others. For example when you’ve got people condemning the October 7th attacks, while also noting that the Israeli government has been known to react to violence with heavy-handed responses that serve as collective punishment, any concerns that such thoughtful remarks might trigger sobre reflection among the Canadian populace can easily by stamped out by running onto city streets screaming ‘I am Hamas!’ and ‘Death to Canada!'”.

But other days, Allen explained, are more trying. “Sometimes a Jewish supporter of the campaign will give a really eloquent distillation of the problem at hand. When you’re thinking ‘Gosh, they are the perfect ally for the cause, and their contributions are invaluable’ it’s pretty difficult to muster up the hypocritical energy necessary to spray Hakenkreuzes on a synagogue”.

“But, still, I manage. It’s all worth it to see the looks on the faces of your fellow protestors as they put their hands on their heads and shout ‘Oh God, who the fuck gave him the mic?!'”.

Asked if the increased attention from the authorities has made his life more difficult, Townes waved away any concerns. “Every time I’m arrested, I immediately make bail thanks to angel donations from some guy named ‘Bibi'”.
