Netflix scores ratings hit with latest true crime series

Date:

LOS ANGELES – Media and fans are buzzing following the premiere episode of streaming giant Netflix’s latest true crime series “WWE Raw”.

“In the last 10 years we’ve borne witness to society’s love of true crime content, and Netflix has always been at the forefront,” explained Netflix executive Sandra Harrington “and now we’ve come together to bring our viewers a behind the scenes look at one of the most nefarious criminal enterprises known to man: World Wrestling Entertainment!”.

Harrington continued “In the past our various series have touched on such notorious societal ills like the drug trade, corruption and, of course, bloody, violent murder. Now we’ve brought you a program that combines all of that and more!”

According to Harrington, the streamer’s professional wrestling programming will offer something for fans of all of the media landscape’s dark-but-true content. “You like the twist and turns of the drug trade as presented in ‘Narcos’? Well, wait til you find out where all of those ripped physiques come from. You’re drawn to tales of spousal abuse, misogyny and violence against women as offered by ‘Making a Murderer’, ‘The Ripper’ and the ten billion shows about Ted Bundy? You’re going to love getting to know Chris Benoit and Jimmy Snuka! And of course we know you love to learn about the amoral, power-mad, sociopaths running the show, the Escobers, the Gottis, the Vaticans. Well, wait til you’ve met the McMahon family!”

“and it’s ALL REAL!”

Despite the most sensational aspects of the series, Harrington was quick to remind those who may be turned off by the most unseemly details that there would still be content for them to enjoy, noting that one should not let the macabre subject matter “distract you from the fact that in 1998, The Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell in A Cell, and plummeted 16 ft through an announcer’s table”.
